Just want to share a few pictures of my time in Colorado. I am a senior class sponsor so that means I get to go on a two week mission trip to Eden Valley.  It has been fun.  For the weekend we were able to go to Rocky National Park. It was BEAUTIFUL!!!  On Sunday we all went horseback riding in the foot hills of the rockies.  Another day we drove to Wyoming and Nebraska so that I could add two more states to my list.

At Eden Valley we have just been helping out wherever we can. Lots of painting. We have just started working on putting a roof on a huge tractor shed. I'm having a blast.  Here are a few pictures I have taken.

Mr Baker told me that I had to kiss the ground of every new state we went to (like the pope) if we were to go. So I did.

I guess some people wouldn't know what to do in a flood. The other sign well it just needs some help.

The whole group. 5 seniors and 3 sponsors

Heritage Academy has decided to help in the disaster relieve in Jackson, TN.  The juniors and seniors will be leaving today and coming back tomorrow (they have ACT's on Sunday). The freshmen and sophomores will be leaving Saturday night and coming back Monday night.

Pray for the people affected from the tornadoes as well as Heritage to be a blessing to those we minister too.

Possible updates later with some pictures hopefully.

"If you will find voice and time to pray, God will find time and voice to answer."

"Every earnest petition for grace and strength will be answered. . . . Ask God to do for you those things that you cannot do for yourselves. Tell Jesus everything. Lay open before Him the secrets of your heart; for His eye searches the inmost recesses of the soul, and He reads your thoughts as an open book. When you have asked for the things that are necessary for your soul's good, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Accept His gifts with your whole heart; for Jesus has died that you might have the precious things of heaven as your own, and at last find a home with the heavenly angels in the kingdom of God. " ML p. 16

I'm learning more and more that prayer is everything to me.  Without prayer my life would be pointless.  Day by day God is teaching me to depend more on Him rather than on my own strength.  Lately He has been showing my need to let go and let God.  He has been showing me how much I have trusted in my own wisdom.

I'm thankful that God, because He started a work, will not stop till He finishes it.  Phil 1:6

What can I say...I am blessed.

For Thanksgiving break I went to Seattle to visit my brother Brian and his wife Suzanne and my new niece Sureya and my Mom.

This is Sureya Skye McGrath (Sureya means star...so starry skye) She is now 3 months old.

While I was up there I got to see Lisa Lloyd

She is the perfect kid.  Sleeps 12 hours a night.  Just wakes up once at 6am for a feeding and then goes back to sleep till 10-11am.  She only cries when she has a messy diaper or is hungry.  She loves being around people, taking walks, and riding in the car. A dream baby if you ask me.

My Mom is now a Grandmother.

Brian and I got up one morning to take a bike ride. This is one of the pictures I took from that day.

The family.  We went hiking one day.  The only time Sureya got a little upset was when we would stop and take a rest.  She always wanted to keep walking.

My bro and me

Isn't she adorable?

I have a lot more pictures but I did my best to pull the main ones. Hope you enjoyed!

A Thought to Consider

"Some folks look with dread upon the thought of having to wage a continual warfare with self and worldly lusts. That is because they do not as yet know anything about the joy of victory; they have experienced only defeat. But it isn't so doleful a thing to battle constantly, when there is continual victory." Lesson on Faith, p. 3
